ABOUT US/ABOUT OUR PASTOR
The Lighthouse was birthed on December 23, 2006. Started by a group of sixteen radical Christ-followers, the church has quickly grown into a family of over 100 individuals who attend worship and/or one of our small groups. We are a community of believers who are totally committed to Christ, radically committed to each other, and utterly committed to helping people come to faith.
Our Mission is to be an authentic biblical community that transforms people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Our Vision is to raise up a new generation of Christ-followers who will change the world.
We believe God has five purposes for the Lighthouse. As a community, we exist to:
- EXALT God in worship
- EMBRACE people in fellowship
- ESTABLISH believers in a path of spiritual growth
- EQUIP members for service
- EVANGELIZE the world
Our Core Values:
- We believe that all people matter to God, and must be loved and accepted.
- We believe that the church must be culturally relevant without compromising the Word of God.
- We believe that the pursuit of full devotion to Christ and His cause should be the goal of every believer.
- We believe that teamwork is God’s design for effective ministry.
- We believe in the priority of prayer. When we work, we work. But when we pray, God works.
- We believe that God is worthy of our best efforts. Excellence honours God and inspires people.
- We believe that life-change happens best in small groups. Big faith is grown in small groups.
- We believe that the church is a community of servants, where every member is a minister.
- We believe that the church thrives when gifted, emerging leaders are identified and trained to lead with diligence.
- We believe that starting new churches is the most effective way to reach the world for Christ.
