It’s a great way to connect with all your Lighthouse friends, and stay current with what’s happening in our community. If you haven’t yet joined, just visit our Lighthouse home page (www.LighthouseOfHope.ca) and click on the facebook icon. You’ll be taken directly to our facebook page where you can join the group with one click. Invite all your facebook friends to join our group. It’s a great way to give your friends a glimpse of what it means to be part of the Lighthouse family. They may even decide to come and check out our church because of what they’ve seen on facebook!

Pastor Jeff communicates via email with those who attend the Lighthouse. If you would like to be included, please write your email address on a yellow communication card, and drop it in the offering bucket at the end of the service today.

Save trees and help us cut costs by reading our monthly newsletters online. (Hard copies are still available in the foyer, but we’re printing fewer of them in anticipation that many of our members will enjoy our newsletter online.)

If you’d like to get involved and make a difference in the lives of other people, there are many different ministry options available to you. James & Shirley Beith are our Ministry Placement Coordinators. They would love to help you get plugged into a ministry that’s just right for you. Some of the ministries you may want to consider are as follows:
•Hospitality Ministry: serving refreshments after church (and cleaning up afterwards)
•Children’s Ministry: helping with our children’s program on Sabbath afternoons
•Greeting Ministry: creating a welcoming environment for people who come to worship
•Discover Bible School: helping interested people get to know their Bibles better by delivering and/or grading Discover Bible Study Guides
•Deacon / Deaconess: assisting with baptisms, communion services, visitation, property maintenance, cleaning, etc…
•Drama Ministry: planning and presenting drama for worship services
•Music Ministry: singing or playing an instrument for worship
•Prayer Ministry: praying with and/or interceding for people
•Social Events Ministry: planning and organizing fun activities which provide opportunities for people to make new friends and get better acquainted
•Small Group Ministry: lead a small group, or assist a group leader
•Marriage Ministry: plan and organized events to help married couples
•Parenting Ministry: plan and organized events to help parents

New Lighthouse Fellowship Groups are being launched all the time. More and more people are experiencing authentic biblical community in these groups—and they love it!
